The city of Toulouse, in southern France, has been the centre point of the stand-off between police and the suspected gunman thought to have killed seven people, including three children. This is a tragic story.

For a long time now Toulouse has been one of the destinations I would like to visit. It’s sad that the city will now forever be associated with such gruesome memories. My thoughts are with the families and loved ones.
